This month's edition will be a shorter one, but nonetheless exciting! We would love to see you all at our end of year celebrations, including a special event just for our alumni and 2022 graduates, and our long-awaited SAT. Read on to find out more!

Director's Address

Dear Alumni,
It feels like it’s been a little bit since our last update, so thank you for your patience! Since our last update, we’ve been scheming away, planning a few things for our students as well as for you. As always, we’re extremely thankful for all of your support, in prayer, finances, resources and your time over the years; we couldn’t do so much of what we do for the students without your partnership in the gospel.

Although this year has had its challenges as we’ve navigated the ups and downs of life and ministry returning to in-person out of lockdowns, God, as He always does, has continued to work powerfully and faithfully in the lives of many uni students across our five campuses. We hope that this month’s edition will be an encouragement to you, and we hope to see you at the end of year alumni celebration!

Alumni Thanksgiving SOWcial

As 2022 draws slowly to an end, we’d like to take some time to reflect and celebrate this year and what is to come, as well as take this opportunity to connect with our alumni and new graduates. We believe that discipleship continues well after university and we want to continue supporting our alumni and graduates as they continue into a new chapter in their lives.

Come along for a fun afternoon of social networking, nibbles and bubbles. Whether you’d like to support SOW, catch up with friends or meet new people, we can’t wait to see our dear alumni and 2022 graduates soon!

SOW Annual Tournament 2022

The goal of SAT is to provide a platform where our community can engage with one another through a friendly (but competitive) game of sport, as well as to raise funds to support SOW in its mission for university outreach. However, you do not need to be a member of SOW to participate - Everyone (ages 18+) is welcome to join! Regardless of your background, sports skill etc… we warmly welcome you to join us for two full days of sport, fun and prizes.

This year, we will be hosting games of volleyball, basketball, oztag and frisbee. Gather your friends and make a team to register!

Indoor Tournaments: Volleyball and Basketball

Date & Time: Saturday 22nd of October @ 9AM - 5PM

Location: Sydney Olympic Park Sports Hall

Registrations are limited to -

Volleyball: Minimum of 6 players per team (2 female players on court)
Basketball: Minimum of 5 players per team (2 female players on court)

Outdoor Tournaments: Frisbee and Oztag

Date & Time: Saturday 29th of October @ 8AM - 4PM

Location: Strathfield Park

Registrations are limited to -

Oztag: Minimum of 8 players per team (4 female players on court)
Frisbee: Minimum of 7 players per team (3 female players on court)

Registrations close: Saturday 8th October 2022, 11:59PM

SOW USYD Affiliation Update

After many many years of being turned down, SOW USYD’s application to become an affiliated club at USYD has finally been approved. Some good news for all you USYD alumni out there!
